How It All Began
I have dedicated my entire professional life to serving people. My career started at the Tallinn City Government, where I gained invaluable experience working as an aide to Mayor Edgar Savisaar. He became my teacher and political mentor. It was under his guidance that I learned to see urban issues through the eyes of residents and to seek real solutions for them.
Põhja-Tallinn
As Deputy District Elder of Põhja-Tallinn, I oversaw the fields of housing and public utilities. In this role, I dealt with complex issues faced by tenants under forced lease agreements, supported the residents of the Kopli Lines, and worked on improving the district’s infrastructure and environment.
Lasnamäe
One of the most important chapters of my life was serving as the District Elder of Lasnamäe. It was a period of dynamic change and development: supporting schools and kindergartens, launching the annual awards for the district’s best teachers, offering free Estonian language courses for residents, and caring for the elderly — all of this became part of our mission and my personal responsibility to the people.
Pae Park
The modern Pae Park was built and became a symbol of the renewed Lasnamäe.
Orthodox Church
The construction of an Orthodox church was completed — an important spiritual center for thousands of local residents.
Lasnamäe Day
We started the tradition of “Lasnamäe Day” at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, attracting up to 20,000 residents and guests.
Investments in District Development
We attracted significant investments that went toward the construction of both local and main roads (such as Punane Street), the improvement of parks, and the creation of new public spaces.
Work in Parliament
While serving in the Estonian Parliament, I was a member of the Legal Affairs Committee and repeatedly raised the issue of tougher penalties for sexual crimes against minors. In the State Budget Control Committee, I defended the rational use of public funds and a fair approach to resource distribution.
